1. Summary

Sound Level Meter ("the app") works without any sign-up or login, and the developer does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information about you. The noise measurement and recording features all run on your device, and measurement records and recording files are stored only on your device. The app does not connect to the internet and contains no ads.

2. What we do not collect

• Personal identifiers such as name, email, or phone number
• Account information (there is no login or sign-up)
• Location data
• On-device personal data such as contacts, photos, or call logs

3. Data processed only on your device

• Microphone input (measurement & recording): The microphone is used to compute the decibel (dB) level of surrounding noise and to record the sound when you save a measurement. Input used for the live reading is analyzed in real time and discarded immediately; recording files are kept only in your device's internal storage. Nothing is sent to any developer server.
• Measurement records & app settings: Saved measurements (stats, graph, and audio) are stored only on your device.

4. Third-party SDKs / Ads

The app displays no ads and includes no third-party data-collection SDKs for advertising or analytics.

5. Permissions and why they are used

• Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): To measure the decibel level of noise and to record saved measurements. It is not used for any other purpose.

6. Data retention and deletion

Measurement records, recording files, and app settings are stored only on your device. Deleting a record within the app, or uninstalling the app, removes the related data.

7. Children's privacy

The app does not collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect legal or feature changes; significant changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date above.
